WHAT WE DO

OUR SECTORS

WASH

This includes provision of water supply for the most vulnerable population affected by conflicts,

rehabilitation and installation of hand pumps, solar systems, operation and maintenance. Sanitation

includes Community Led Total Sanitation CLTS, CAT, waste management and disposals, environment,

jerry can distribution. Hygiene includes hygiene education, public awareness raising, and cleaning

campaigns and leaflets distribution at public institution. Since the establishment of organization

Elurhama has rehabilitated 25 water points in South Darfur, reached 500 community individuals with

CLTS, CAT and hygienic approach in Darfur and South Darfur. About 10,000 jerry cans been distributed

to the most vulnerable IDPs to help them fetch clean water from the source and keep their wealth of

health

IDPs cannot be economically healthy if it is not physically healthy. EL RUHAMA’s health projects focus on

mothers and children, who often are the most vulnerable to disease and malnutrition. We are

particularly interested in increasing the capacity of our local State Ministry of Health to deliver quality

health services. This includes training local health volunteers as counselors, mentors and monitors of

community health. EL RUHAMA is focused on interventions ranging from nutrition and education to

birth spacing and clinical services. Our reproductive health projects encompass family planning, prenatal

care, labor and delivery services, and the prevention, detection and treatment of STDs, including HIV

We also distributed resources to combat Covid-19 with the Federal Ministry of Health in Khartoum State
